A novel approach to the study of extensional flow-induced crystallization

چکیده
A systematic experimental investigation of the coupling between extensional flow and crystallization a commercial grade polypropylene is presented. modified Sentmanat device allows one to generate uniaxial in absence gravity sagging monitoring its effect on kinetics via in-situ visualization sample polarised light. As compared shear induced crystallization, three fold increase extension found. The study complemented by post mortem analysis crystalline morphology small angle X ray scattering (SAXS) wide (WAXS).
